We are a collective of singers and songwriters using music to shine light on and bring support to family caregivers. We want to bring caregivers, their families, service agencies, health researchers, and political leadership together to encourage systems change in improving outcomes for family caregivers.
Rise Caregivers Collective exists to make the important work of caregivers valued and visible. We know caregivers support your clients, our loved ones. Caregivers enrich our society as a whole. Caregivers build connections with the community. We minimize social isolation in older adults and foster friendships. The unpaid work of family caregiving, impacts at least one quarter of Canadian households, and these impacts are increasing with each passing day.
Through music gatherings our goal is to create connective, productive networks to support family caregivers. We strongly believe they need to be recognized and supported as equal to caregivers in long term care settings.
