Dear Minister Lightbound, MP
On behalf of the Council of Senior Citizens’ Organization of BC (COSCO BC), I am writing to express the profound concerns of our members regarding this transition which will particularly impact older adults and disabled individuals. COSCO BC is an umbrella organization representing more than 85,000 seniors and retirees in BC from our 65 affiliated member groups.
In particular, we strongly urge an immediate halt to the service cuts, especially the end of door-to-door mail delivery. We ask Canada Post to look instead for ways to increase services and revenues in other areas, such as postal banking and check-in services for older adults.
